On Loving Your Enemies – Think on These Things

On Loving Your Enemies

I went for my morning walk despite the chilly rain that drizzled softly from the sky.  It felt nice to walk outside in the rain, but it also felt unnatural.  There is a part of me that felt like I should stay inside and enjoy the shelter instead of suffering the cold wet morning, but because I’m insane the drive to walk with God and have some alone time in prayer outweighed that desire.  As I made my way around my neighborhood, the Lord spoke this thought to me: Love Your Enemies.

I’ve Got You Covered- Staying Modest Without a Sewing Machine

I've Got You Covered

Hello there!!!  It has been raining for about a week.  The sun finally came out today and it was absolutely gorgeous outside.  I took advantage of the sunshine by going running shopping. As I was wandering around the thrift store, this older woman approached me to ask me what I thought of the skirt she picked out.  I told her it was beautiful (of course).  She told me that it would need some stitching but that she could make it work.  To which I replied, “I wish I could sew.  If I can’t pin it, I don’t buy it”.

Basic Black With a Blazer & Our Vision vs. God’s Vision – Modest Fashion Moment

This Sunday was so rainy!  It rained for hours on end and there was very little light outside (hence the terrible exposure on these photos).  I did manage to salvage a few of them.  Black is hands down my favorite shade to wear.  It is easy accessorize and absolutely fool-proof.  I would wear black everyday if I could. But because I no longer live in New York City and I don’t want people to assume I’m in constant mourning, I try to liven it up sometimes.

Tragedy of a Wounded Spirit

Tragedy of a Wounded Spirit

Hello Lovlies!  Today’s favorite thing is a sermon that has blessed me very much.  I am a certified sermon junkie lover. I love to watch videos of sermons, listen to podcasts sermons, and of course, hear live sermons.  Youtube is like a treasure chest of sermons.  This week I want to highlight one in particular.

On Being Transparent – Think on These Things

On Being Transparent

As a Christian, one of the things I find the most difficult is being transparent. Most of the time it is much easier to wear the “I’ve got it all together” mask than it is to be real with those around me. This is especially true when you find yourself in a position of leadership. The irony of all of this is that it is not at all biblical.

Do you ever look into your closet that is packed with clothes and think, “I have nothing to wear!”?  Even though we know it’s not true, sometimes putting together an outfit can feel like a daunting task.  It doesn’t have to be.  Finding one piece and building around it is an easy way to put together an outfit without giving your self a nervous breakdown.

Create a Longer More Elegant Ponytail

Longer Ponytail Without Extensions

This week, I decided to share a trick that I have been using for years to create the illusion of a longer ponytail.  It is really quick and easy!  Quick and easy is what I do best!

Skin & Spirit Care Essentials

FTF3 Skin & Spirit Care 1

This week, my favorite things are a little bit varied.  As the weather gets more and more like the middle of Death Valley  warmer and warmer, I find that I need to really pay attention to my skin.  Even more important than my skin,  with all the warm weather distractions, I need to take care of my spirit. These are a few of my essentials.

On Praise Before Provision – Think on These Things

Matthew 6 30

I was listening to a sermon the other day, and the preacher (I’m pretty sure it was Bro. T.F. Kenny), said that Abraham declared “God will provide..” (Genesis 22:8) before he ever saw God’s provision.  At one of the most dark, scary, uncertain, and agonizing moments anyone could ever experience, Abraham made it known that his God is the God that supplies.
