This Sunday was so rainy! It rained for hours on end and there was very little light outside (hence the terrible exposure on these photos). I did manage to salvage a few of them. Black is hands down my favorite shade to wear. It is easy accessorize and absolutely fool-proof. I would wear black everyday if I could. But because I no longer live in New York City and I don’t want people to assume I’m in constant mourning, I try to liven it up sometimes.
I wore my black calf-length skirt from Express and a black long-sleeved top with a slight cowl neck from New York & Co.
My shoes by Jessica Simpson were a thrift store find.
This bag was a gift bag from a perfume set but it’s large size makes a perfect handbag.
My blazer was another thrift store find.
This combination is my all time favorite because of it’s ease. I don’t handle complicated fashion very well. What would you wear everyday if you could?
While editing these pictures, I couldn’t help but be disappointed in how the lighting turned out. That lead me to think about this scripture I read the other day.
“You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.”
Proverbs 19:21 NLT
Sometimes things don’t turn out the way we envisioned them. Especially when we are walking with the Lord. Had the Lord told me from he beginning how my life would turn out, I’m honestly not sure I would have agreed to follow Him. But God, in His infinite wisdom, shows us only a glimpse of things to come. Sometimes they are not exactly what we had in mind. But we can rest assured that we will have the outcome that He had planned all along and that will be better than what we would have chosen for ourselves. He has a perfect plan for you. Trust Him to lead you on a path to abundant life.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
God bless you!
