I woke up to dark heavy clouds today. Thankfully, there was no rain to
make my hair frizzier than normal slow me down. Cloudy days aren’t always my favorite, but sometimes, these grey days offer the most inspiration.
I’m really loving stripes right now. This grey and white striped skirt is from Ross. I put on some kitten-heeled grey shoes with a cute little flower on the front. They are also a Ross purchase. They are super comfy!
My bag is a very old knock-off Gucci purse that I purchased from Canal Street in New York City.
I wore this solid stretch blazer that I bought from Ross. However, the tag says it came from Express.
The grey tank top is of an unknown origin. It’s one of those things you discover hiding in the back of a drawer. And this floral patterned sheer material shirt is from New York & Company.
Everyday is not going to be clear, blue, sunny skies. It’s the same way with your spiritual life. You are not going to wake up everyday feeling like you are on cloud nine. Life has it’s own clouds and rain. The key is to speak sunshine into your life with prayer. When you feel grey on the inside, that is the time to draw close to the Lord and allow Him to flood your spirit with His marvelous light. His light beats tropical sunshine any day. Don’t ever think that because you woke up on the wrong side of the bed or you feel sad and overwhelmed that you are not spiritual enough. How do you deal with your grey days? Reading Psalms is a good way to remind ourselves that even the greats in God’s kingdom had their ups and downs. Be kind to yourself. We are works in progress.
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6 NLT
God bless you!
