I had an amazing Sunday! I pray that you can say the same. I’m not normally a pink kind of girl, but this year, I am all about colors. It’s actually kind of exciting. Come see what I wore for church this Resurrection Sunday!
Growing up, I remember buying an outfit especially for “Easter” every year. It has been years since I’ve done that. I usually find, if I am creative, I can put together pieces that I already own in a way that I’ve never worn them and have a “new” outfit for church. I found this pink Old Navy Jacket at Value Village last year. It’s not the most comfortable material, but it screamed “HEY EVERYBODY! IT’S EASTER!” So, I went with it.
My skirt was a hand-me-down from my sister and is also by Old Navy. I love this skirt. It is super light and flowy. And the pattern, was the perfect pop underneath the solid pink jacket.
Underneath the jacket, I wore a long-sleeved white tee-shirt that had a sewn in lace cami. I layered another cami underneath for more coverage and to add a little more detail. Both the shirt and cami are from Wal-Mart.
I found this grey belt in the back of my closet. My guess is that it also came from Wal-Mart. The skirt has some light grey mixed into the pattern, so I thought the belt was a great compliment. Since I was already feeling
like an easter egg colorful, I decided to use my mustard yellow NineWest oversized clutched I purchased from Ross a few years ago.
My nude colored wedges are from Khol’s. And my rose gold watch is from JC Penny. The brand is Style & Co.
Easter was so special this year. My niece received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and I spent the day with my family. I was especially grateful for what the Lord had done in my life and the lives of my family members. This day is so much more than eggs and bunnies. This day is about victory and triumph. Jesus has risen and our faith lies in the empty tomb of an Almighty Savior. I am so glad that He tore down the barrier between Himself and man, so that we could have a relationship with Him and spend eternity with the Lover of our souls.
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.” John 11:25-26
What did you do this Easter? Do you normally buy a new outfit especially for Easter? What are your family traditions for celebrating this awesome day? I pray so many blessings over your life, in Jesus’ name!
He has beautified you!
